Application
long with the widely application
of radioactive isotopes, the usage of industrial
radiation monitoring equipment,
the radiological monitoring of iatrical hygienic, the exploitation of
nuclear power station, and the external irradiation measurement of mine or
other environments, especially the largely adoption of architectural
material which contains supernormal natural radioactive material or consists
of industrial wastes, irradiation to human body has been markedly increased.
People have paid more and more attention to it in the recent years.
The instrument is used in
measuring the dose rate of the air absorbed x-γirradiation from the
environment. It is used in various cases. It can be brought out and used in
different environments, and can be successively monitoring in settled
situation.
In manufacturing, selling and
using procedures of the stone stocks or other architectural materials, the
instrument monitors their radioactivity. We can categorize the materials by
the outcomes.

Features
The instrument has excellent
sensitivity and extensive range. It is simply operated. It has perfect
energy echo and terrific stability. The other features are as follows:

According to the measuring needs, set up all sorts of measuring
parameters such as sampling period, sampling times and cycling times etc..
When start measuring, the measuring mean value, variation coefficient and
measuring date and time etc. are all given on the instant moment.

It adopts character-type twinrow LCD(Liquid Crystal Display). It has
large quantity of information to exchange with users and is used
directly-view.

Its power consumption is low because high-efficiency and high-voltage
module is adopted and the SCM (Single Chip Micyoco) is CMOS type. When it is
in static state, the SCM is at rest.

Its adaptability to the environment is excellent. It can be used
under all kinds of humid atmosphere if the probe has been distinguishingly
treated with at the front end of the signal processing chain.

Other functions
1.1.5.1
Undervoltage Display: When the voltage is lower than the value that
needed, the character-type LCD will show “Low-Battery”.
It points out that the battery should be changed.

Warning: Set up warning threshold as needed. When the value of
absorptivity reaches warning threshold, it will sound continuously. In the
measurement of architectural material, you can set up certain warning
threshold according to the classificatory criterion of lithic material. It
is very convenient for monitoring the radioactivity of stone stocks.

Data Browsing: When the user is interested in a datum that has been
measured sometime, he can browse the data on LCD to find it.

Data Protection: When the data has occupied the whole EMS memory and
no more data can be input, the LCD will show “MEMORY
FULL”
or “INVALID
DATA”
and at the same time the data in the memory should be output to print. You
must scrubbing the memory by enter the corresponding command and then you
can input data anew.

Data Transmission and memorization: It is equipped with interface
RS-232, so it can transmit data to PC. Users can conserve the data in discs
or deal with the data. It can link to the printer through the interface and
can print successively for fixed-type or print in company for
schlepped-type.

Set up Parameters: Users can set up sampling period, sampling times,
cycling times, warning threshold, emendation coefficient, date and time
etc.. Once accomplished the setting, it proceeds automatically in accordance
with the parameters that have been set up. The parameters are conserved
after shutting down the instrument. When start up again, it is no necessary
to set up the parameters the second time.

Technological Performance:

Range and response of energy: The radiant response deviation as to
the referenced radiant point 137CS is ≤±20% at the range of
energy 25Kev—100Kev,
and ≤±5% at the range of energy 100Kev—3.0Mev.

Measuring range available: 10nGY/h—100mGY/h.

Relative intrinsic error: Under the condition of standard test, its
relative intrinsic error excluding the uncertainty level of promissory value
of absorptivity is ≤±15% within the invalid measuring range.

Under the condition of normal work, it works up to 8 hours and its
indicatory value changes ≤±10%.

Angle response: AS to radiant point 137CS, when the
incident angle changes between 0—180°,its
angle response relative to standard direction 0°is ≤±20%.

Astroray response: Astroray response relative to high-pressure
ionized chamber is ≤±20%.

Environment temperature: When environment temperature changes between
–5--+50℃,the
difference between actual value and value under standard test condition is
≤±25%.

Power consumption: Battery size 1 applies electricity. When it
discontinuously works 40 hours under standard condition—works
8 hours per day, then come up for air 16 hours, works 5 days successively,
the difference between actual value and value obtained from 15 minutes after
starting work is≤±20%.
